Sunday Formation
Every Sunday we meet from 9:30 until 10:15 and the various fathers instruct the boys in patrol related catechesis, skills, and achievement courses.
Fathers Form Sons
Fathers participate with the boys — as this is not a drop-off program — and by learning together can bond and grow in their relationship.
Sometimes the fathers specialize in the achievement course and we're able to gain very deep knowledge because of how simply he can teach it — whereas other times a father must research a topic and teach it as best he can. TSG #51 is greatly blessed with fathers knowledgeable and skilled.
The Academic Year
Each academic year, September through May, we cover three achievement courses and the boys are expected to get either the Captain's or a Lieutenant's sign-off in his Field Manual that he attended and learned each component of the module.
